VENDOR GUIDELINES
Tables for vendors are $60 per table (covers both days) and must be received by August 19, 2005. Tables are $70 each if payment postmarked after August 19th.
This show is for captive-bred animals only. No one is allowed to bring any animals for display or sale unless a table is purchased.
No poisonous snakes will be permitted. Constrictor snakes that are prohibited by local ordinance may be sold, but local residents must be informed that ownership of constrictor snakes that grow to a length of eight (8) feet is banned by St. Bernard Parish ordinance. If you have any questions about snakes that are prohibited to be owned locally, please call the Animal Control Shelter @ 504 278-1535.
Vendors should be aware that federal and state laws prohibit the sale of baby turtles whose carapace measures less than four inches. Box turtles and Alligator Snapping turtles cannot be sold at any size. Vendors who sell species native to Louisiana are required by the state to have a wholesalers license. Vendors must have the appropriate license to sell any species native to Louisiana. For other information on Louisiana legal requirements visit the Gulf Coast Herp Society's web pages.
There are a limited number of tables (at no charge) for non-profit civic organizations; please call early if you would like your organization to be considered.
The Civic Center will have food and drinks for sale during the show, therefore outside food and drinks are strictly prohibited - even at your booth. Any outside food brought in must be consumed outside of the building. Failure to abide by this rule can result in the loss of your table with no refund.
There are a limited amount of electrical hookups (130 amps) available for travel trailers at the Civic Center. The rate is $8 per night. Water is available to hook up to. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance of your planned arrival date by calling 504 278-1508.
The closest motel is the EconoLodge Marina at 5353 Paris Road in Chalmette. It is less than ten minutes away from the show site and less than seven miles from the New Orleans French Quarter. To make reservations, call the motel directly @ 504 277-5353.
